Prepare — meeting paths closed
- Zoom Mute · Stop Video · Stop Share. OBS virtual camera stopped. Backups saved; correct isolated profile/collection selected.
- One HEAD source in PLAY only. READY/SAFE are static. Loop off; restart-on-activation on; close-on-inactive on; show-nothing-at-end on. Cut transition; Studio Mode off. READY selected.
- Camera: OBS Virtual Camera / Program. Mic: verified virtual-audio device. Speaker: MacBook Pro Speakers, matching existing macOS output; never BlackHole. No headphones used. All OBS desktop/physical-mic capture disabled. HEAD monitoring route rechecked.
- Correct file and single narration stream; slides video separate and silent. Drive processing/access verified. Slideshow Play (manual); complete trim range. Notifications off; power and network ready.
- Share only the verified Slides window/display. Share sound OFF. Tested optimize/processing settings retained. Private controls stay off the shared surface.
Rehearse — independent endpoint
- Three starts, cold and warm; measure cue → head media time zero, not first motion/speech. For a later head event at source time h observed at presentation time A, use R=A−h−C. Check the entire observed timing range, not only its mean; note first sound separately.
- Full-duration actual pair: beginning/middle/end lip sync and proof alignment; readable text; exactly one narration; no physical-mic or return leakage.
- All required speech/proof finishes by P. S+T ≤ P ≤ S+H−B, S+L ≤ P, P+B ≤ S+E across the accepted range. Manual mute and video-off finish inside the clean tail. Failed check means stop, revise and rehearse again.
Run — presentation first
- Confirm READY; start OBS Virtual Camera. While muted, reconfirm Zoom virtual devices. Start Zoom video on READY; unmute the virtual mic only once READY is confirmed silent. No live mic handoff unless separately rehearsed.
- Start sharing the Slides surface with sound off. Click the embedded video to start. Presentation clock begins at the first playing frame.
- At the recognizable title-to-content transition, select 02 PLAY — one media source once in OBS. Do not click a media restart button or switch away/back. Manual focus/reaction delay is part of R.
- Watch progress without touching source properties or scene controls. Attendee/host confirms picture, single narration and Slides; meters alone are not confirmation.
- Let all speech and proof finish. When presentation ends during the real ending wave/pause, manually Mute Zoom, then Stop Video within the rehearsed B allowance. Verify both states before clean hold E ends.
- Stop Share; select 03 SAFE — no media; stop virtual camera. Do not re-enter PLAY. Any live mic/camera handoff occurs while muted/video-off first.
Abort — isolate before diagnosing
Zoom Mute → Stop Video → Stop Share → OBS SAFE → stop media/virtual camera. If Zoom controls are inaccessible, leave/disconnect the meeting first. Notify host via chat. Do not automatically expose live mic/camera or replay speech.
Missing file/black picture: relink and verify Program/camera. Missing/doubled audio: inspect one source, monitoring device and share sound. Feedback/device loss: restore the Mac speakers and virtual mic, with physical-mic capture excluded; recheck any live-mic handoff. Early/late start, stall or restart: stop both; no improvisational mid-speech seek. EOF: remain isolated; no loop.
Reset in private: stop HEAD → SAFE → READY; Slides first frame, stopped; recheck routes; attendee ready; host explicitly approves a restart. Then presentation first again. See the full guide for recovery drills and rollback.
