# DaVinci Resolve: exact native-frame plate assembly **This is a recipe-specific manual guide, not an executed Resolve project.** No `.drp`, Fusion graph, Resolve render, native-Resolve parity or moving-quality approval is claimed. The deterministic route uses browser-prepared derivatives of the original SVG states. It does not use a source clip, source raster or the Remotion MP4 as editable media. The source of edits remains code/SVG plus the licensed font; regenerate the derivatives after an edit. ## 1. Prepare and verify Run `run.mjs --action prepare`, then `--action check-prepared`, as in `README.md`. Require **226 unique SVG names and 226 unique PNG names**, 113 states per identity, correct word/family bindings, the pinned browser/font, and state-112 dwell 39. Stop on missing, extra, duplicate or mismatched inputs. Never fill a missing frame with a neighboring pose. Do not interpret an empty folder as two variants. PNG derivatives are 1920×1080, opaque full-frame RGB with the white field already included. They are generated outside the source ZIP and code repository. The provided SVG embeds Geist for text; the outline is five editable path surfaces. Do not rely on Resolve's SVG import or local font substitution for parity. ## 2. The lossless PNG values are the plate reference; check a Resolve export against them on your installation. ## 3. Use individual stills, not an inferred short sequence In the Media page's Media Storage browser, choose its three-dot menu → **Frame Display Mode → Individual** before importing. Import only one identity's 113 files (`original-000.png` through `original-112.png`, or the adaptation set). Do not let auto sequence detection turn 113 states into a 113-frame finished animation; the last state requires 39 frames. Create two separate timelines: `Origin_compass_60` and `Orchid_beacon_60`. Use **V1 only** for the deliverable on each timeline. Leave A1 empty; do not import the source narration. Leave V2 and higher empty. A temporary local comparison track is not part of the export and must be disabled or removed. `resolve-plates.csv` is the authoritative clip list: 113 V1 rows per timeline. All intervals are `[start,endExclusive)` in native timeline frames. To assemble: 1. Sort the stills by filename. Add states 000–111 in order to V1, with **one frame per still**. Right-click → Change Clip Duration; use frame units and duration `1`. Resolve accepts a frame-count duration; verify the timeline ruler rather than assuming your system's default still duration is one frame. 2. Append state 112. Set its duration to **39 frames** (`00:00:00:39` at 60 fps). Its timeline start is frame 112 (`00:00:01:52`). Last included frame is 150 (`00:00:02:30`), and end-exclusive is frame 151 (`00:00:02:31`). 3. Check every CSV start/end. If changing durations left gaps, close them by placing clips at the CSV positions. Do not drag-scale the full edit or retime it to compensate. There are no transitions between the 113 still clips. For every V1 clip, Inspector Transform: Zoom X/Y **1**, Position X/Y **0**, Rotation **0°**, Anchor X/Y **0**, Pitch/Yaw **0**, flip off. Cropping is 0 on all edges; Dynamic Zoom off; Composite Mode Normal; Opacity 100. No keyframes, stabilization, motion blur, effects, fades or adjustment clips. The supplied plates already contain word recentering and per-pose geometry: adding an extra transform applies that motion twice. ## 4. Do not round this 60 fps clock to 24/30 fps. No added intro/outro is part of the measured treatment. ## 5. What to change, and where Edit `WordmarkDesign`, regenerate Content/SVG, then prepare fresh plates. The exact native parameter table is `resolve-parameters.csv`: each local frame names its text count or pose, X/Y, scale, frame dimensions and 9.4 px stroke where used. It is a construction reference, **not additional Resolve Inspector keyframes**. For a future native Fusion rebuild, five ordered white-filled stroked surfaces per pose are required, with independent original path data on frames 40–112. Simply rotating one finished SVG, fading between endpoint symbols, using a generic typewriter preset, or drawing only an unfilled contour is a different treatment. A native Fusion rebuild and cross-engine contour validation are open work; this guide does not pretend that manual keyframe values alone recover it. ## 6. Export and check on the actual installation Set the Deliver range to frames **0–150 inclusive**. Use Single Clip, MP4/H.264, 1920×1080, 60 fps, square pixels, progressive, video only; uncheck Export Audio. Set data levels Video for the H.264 output and tag Rec.709. Start with a high quality setting rather than a small file target. Do not enable interpolation. These are proposed delivery settings, not a pre-tested Resolve render preset. Probe the exported file for 151 frames, constant 60/1 cadence and zero audio streams. Export PNGs as well if evaluating lossless plate transport; compare all 151 exported frames to the prepared plate named by `resolve-plates.csv` (reuse state 112 for frames 112–150). Verify the deletion boundaries, frame-40 hard cut, 49–62 opening, 65 topology checkpoint, continued late movement and quiet tail. Resolve color conversion and raster/codec effects require measurement, not an assumption of equality. The existing Remotion-versus-SVG report already contains nonzero pixel differences on 119/151 frames per identity. Native Resolve verification cannot be credited from those browser tests. Preserve the additional source-density, trajectory, O-shape and incomplete-native-evidence findings even if an export looks clean. ## Documentation basis Blackmagic's official Resolve reference manual, Editor's Guide and Change Clip Duration documentation describe the application operations used here.
